Pausing is better together.

A smart wooden pod for your phone.
An app for the people you pause with.

Just one more video.

Wait, what time is it?

Phone was at 40%. Now it’s 4%.

Ok last one. For real.

Enough, I have things to do.

Put it down. Picked it up again.

We all know when we need a break.

Taking one is the hard part.

The solution

A place for your phone.

A small wooden box.

Phone in.

The box knows it's yours.

Lid down.

The clock starts.

It doesn't punish. It counts what you win.

Now bring your friends.

Pausing is better together.

How it works

Wanting is one thing, but doing it together actually makes it happen.

  1. The Friends view in the app: ask for support and see who is pausing.

    Gather

Invite your friends in the app. Or pause solo.

  2. A hand lowering a phone into the open box.

    Place

Phone in the box. The box knows it's yours.

  3. A hand lifting the lid of the box.

    Close

    Lid down. The clock starts.

Fill the pot

Every minute goes into a pot you share with your friends. You see theirs. They see yours.

The app is where your friends are.

Set your time, see who's pausing, ask for a push when you need one.

Pause Pod home screen with a ring timer and a big pause button.
01 · Pause

Set your time. Press pause.

With the box or without it. No box with you? Phone face down.

The Circle screen: a group of friends with a shared timer and weekly total.
02 · Circle

Your circle.

A small group that pauses together. One shared pot, filling up all week. You see theirs. They see yours.

The Friends screen: ask for support, and see when each friend last paused.
03 · Friends

Need a push? Ask.

See who paused last. Ask for cheering, a strategy or help getting started.

See it in 20 seconds.

From the person building it

Sometimes you get an idea. And it won't leave your head. One late night in January, the kids are finally asleep. I'm in bed, scrolling. Scroll, stare, scroll. Then that feeling… how hard it is to actually own my own time. I don't believe in going fully analog. It wouldn't fit my life. But something had to change. So I built a box. One that counts the time you spend without your phone. And something started to shift. Phone in the box. The minutes ticking up. Time offline became something I could see. Something I wanted more of. Then came the next step. And the next. It started as a box. Now it's a habit.
